INTERVIEW

What is your greatest sporting success?
My best adventure flying is my ascenscion of the Mont blanc in total autonomy from Geneva with a mixing of biking, running and flying from the top of europe…and the come back in Geneva in 19h50 …

When and why did you start paragliding?
I began paragliding in 1988. I was an alpinism and my motivation to learn this new activity was to descend from the top of the mountain quickly with a real pleasure.

What is your mountaineering experience?
I began alpinism with my father when I had 12 year old and I have climbed a lot of summit in the Alps. I practise free climbing, ski touring, ice climbing, and alpinism. My preference was for the hivernal ascension (Face nord des droites, Matehorn norh face ) and for long alpinism ascencion.

What does your typical training week consist of?
If the weather is Sunny : Hunt kilometer in paragliding !! If the weather is Windy, kyte surfing If the weather is snowy , freeRiding ski If the weather is cold, ice clibimg If the weather is humdid : scuba diving cave It not, I mix between running, cycling et mountainbiking

What are your best and worst sporting memories?
My best sporting memories is to reach by night the summit of the « Aiguille du Midi » after the North Face with a friend of same age like me (18 years old), … My worst experience was my elimination during the X-Alp 2015 !

Why did you choose X-Pyr?
The aera is really amazing for hike and fly. When you see a european Map, you want to join Atlantique to Mediterrannee by flying !

Have you participated on X-Pyr before?
Yes, in 2018. It was a great adventure and it's works fine to the last day when i throw my reserve near Andore 😛

Have you flown in the Pyrenees before?
During the X-Pyr 2018. I was really happy to do a few flight more than 100 kilometers during the race 🙂

What will your strategy be during the race?
To be in the air the most early i can because in the morning , conditon are great to take off and more complicate after.

What excites you most about X-Pyr?
Never stop, independently of the weather conditions ! In total autononomy to travers the Pyrenees with no other means than my paraglider and my feet, without any interruption and independently of the weather.

What scares you the most about the event?
To have to stop the adventure.

Why will he/she make a good assistant?
We began hike and fly paragliding together and she was a good assistant during X-Pyr 2018 !

Anything else you like to comment?
I can't wait to be on the Hondarriba Beach the 21th June at 10:00 and take the air a few hours later for a long X-Fly 😉 !
