What is your greatest sporting success?
Hard to say because every goal lost its spice after reaching it, because it is past. Maybe participation in X-Alps 2019?
When and why did you start paragliding?
I started at 6 years old. My dad bring 9 cell glider and after him and my older brother, I flown. After few seconds flight I landed in middle of cow shit deposit 😀 After that my future was sure. Fly to live, live to fly, do or die!
What is your mountaineering experience?
Some first ascents in Antarctic, Arctic in our Seven Virgin Summits project. Winter big walls in Alps or home mountains High Tatras. My actual maximum is M7+ and I love to combine it with flying down.
What does your typical training week consist of?
I train naturally, enjoying the bath of endorphines as long as possible, untill body destroyed. But usually in winter I climb 3-4 days per week, which means lot of hiking with heavy backpack for ascent, all day in wall climbing and before darkness flying down or another long hike. Thru warmer period I fly as much as possible, volbiv adventures for understanding big mountains and run up to 30kms distances.
What are your best and worst sporting memories?
Usually everybody tells here about most dangerous experience. I did it also in the past, but now I can say my worst sporting memories are those, which means wrong decisions. For example crossing to Val´D´Isere on X-Alps, where I felt i can do it better, but I was blind for that, what mother nature shows me. And after is too late to hit the wall with head 🙂
Why did you choose X-Pyr?
I choose it because I love wilderness it offers and it has really nice atmosphere every edition I´ve been there. Cant wait for it!
Have you participated on X-Pyr before?
Yes I participated in 2016 and 2018, it was thought but really beautiful experiences for me, because it was first big competition.
Have you flown in the Pyrenees before?
What will your strategy be during the race?
Save the knees, running as little as possible and flying as much as possible. Learning how to make it naturally.
What excites you most about X-Pyr?
Challenge, exploring and understanding new thing. Pyrenees are big and small together, foehn works here, valley winds and “wing” fenomenon also...lot of things to enjoy!
What scares you the most about the event?
Rainy period, lot of ground battle.
Why will he/she make a good assistant?
Good mood and experience from the past...and same mind set we had!
