What is your greatest sporting success?
My greatest success was the participation in the Eigertour 2019. Furthermore, i was able to do some beautiful cross country flights in my home country. In addition, i was able to celebrate some successes in the swissleage sport class.

When and why did you start paragliding?
I have always been fascinated that you can fly with a paraglider high above the mountains and yet be so close to them. When my older brother started flying, i couldn't wait any longer.
In summer 2016 I started my paragliding training. After about 3 months I passed the exam.

What is your mountaineering experience?
I live in the Bernese Oberland. In summer I often go to the mountains to do Hike and Flys and cross country flight. For example the Grindelwald region in SAC huts, like Silberhorn-, Schmadri-, Blüemlisalp- or Glecksteinhut. In winter I do a lot of ski touring training. In wind conditions which make flying impossible, I can be found in various climbing areas or boulder halls.

What does your typical training week consist of?
I work 70% at Kaempf Bagger.ch. The flexible working climate favours my training as well as paragliding. With 5h endurance training and 2h strength training I will be well prepared to do the X-Pyr.

What are your best and worst sporting memories?
The best thing for me is to jog up the mountains after work and fly home at sunset.

Why did you choose X-Pyr?
The X- Pyr gives me the opportunity to master an exciting challenge with a great team.

Have you participated on X-Pyr before?
Unfortunately not.

Have you flown in the Pyrenees before?
Not yet.

What will your strategy be during the race?
Keep up with the others as good as possible and give my best until the end.

What excites you most about X-Pyr?
The X- Pyr gives me the opportunity to master an exciting challenge with a great team.

What scares you the most about the event?
What worries me the most is, that I don't know the area that well yet.
There are also some unexplored areas without mobile phone reception on the route, which makes communication between the pilot and the supporter difficult.

Why will he/she make a good assistant?
First of all he is a good friend of mine.
He knows how to use maps and is one of the best I know in route calculation.
