INTERVIEW

What is your greatest sporting success?
The greatest sporting success is that I am still motivated to do sports. When you have fun, success comes naturally.

When and why did you start paragliding?
I have been flying since 2013, when I was able to buy cheap equipment. It was the opportunity and curiosity to try something new which brought me to the sport.

What is your mountaineering experience?
I live in the mountains, the possibility to be in the mountains every free minute is the experience I have.

What does your typical training week consist of?
It depends on the weather. Usually 2x Hike&Fly, 3x mountain bike, 1x jogging and maybe cross-country skiing, climbing, swimming, kayaking or whatever else is fun.

What are your best and worst sporting memories?
I have many good memories, one highlight was a Hike&Fly on the Dent Blanche 4'357 with start from the summit.

Why did you choose X-Pyr?
Because it is probably the most adventurous Hike&Fly race in the world. I love to fly to unknown places and make tactical decisions. The XPyr is perfect for that.

Have you participated on X-Pyr before?
No.

Have you flown in the Pyrenees before?
Yes.

What will your strategy be during the race?
Be quick when the pressure is on, take your time when you can.

What excites you most about X-Pyr?
The unknown region.

What scares you the most about the event?
The possibility not to win 😉

Why will he/she make a good assistant?
René is a very thoughtful and experienced Hike&Fly pilot. I got to know him on the Eiger-Tour, his experience, thoughtfulness and calmness are the best prerequisites for a successful teamwork.

Anything else you like to comment?
Yes! I can't wait and I'm really looking forward to the race.!
