INTERVIEW

What is your greatest sporting success?
Two times XContest Romania winner.

When and why did you start paragliding?
I started Paragliding in October 2012, because my girlfriend at that time was a P.G. Pilot and I wasn't.

What is your mountaineering experience?
I am a via ferrata tour guide, I enjoy going in snowkiting expeditions, ski touring in high mountains, practicing off piste skiing. Taking part in several mountain expeditions in Romania

What does your typical training week consist of?
3-4 runs, at list one day of long hiking, 2-3 intensive weights workouts, work on my mental side of flying, studying the Pyrenees, planing and strategies.

What are your best and worst sporting memories?
My best sporting memories was the 2019 World Paragliding Championship in Krusevo Macedonia where I enjoyed learning a lot flying wingtip to wingtip with the best pilots in the world. And this was also my worst sporting memories due to my poor results and bombing out 3 times.

Why did you choose X-Pyr?
Since the beginning of my flying career I was fascinated by hike and fly adventures and X-Pyr is one of the greatest adventures

Have you participated on X-Pyr before?
No

Have you flown in the Pyrenees before?
Nope 🙁

What will your strategy be during the race?
Focusing, keep calm, enjoy, be safe, fly as much as possible.

What excites you most about X-Pyr?
Port de la Selva

What scares you the most about the event?
Bad weather and hot days

Why will he/she make a good assistant?
He is an active member of the Romanian air force, disciplined, motivated, always positive and happy, super fit, full of power and a great inspiration for me.
