What is your greatest sporting success?
Besides being selected for the X-PyrMy greatest sporting success is winnging the Tear up Lightweight world title and being in the Ultimate Fighter.

When and why did you start paragliding?
I started paragliding in 2013, I had been reluctant as I was a Skydiver and BASE jumper and thought Paragliding looked boring, One day I ground handled my mates glider and I was hooked, I went home and bought a full set up and that year I flew 275 hours and did a 60km UK XC. Since then its been an obsession

What is your mountaineering experience?
Most of my mountaneering experience is walking in Scotland and hunting my Golden Eagles on Scottish Moores, I love the mountains and mountain walking but hunting an eagle in its natural terrain is amazing.

What does your typical training week consist of?
For MMA I train 3 times a day, Grappling or striking in the AM, some cardio or weights midday and some Grappling and striking in the evening. For the X-Pyr my training is based around cardio and walking with as much flying as possible

What are your best and worst sporting memories?
My best sporting memory is probably flying to America and competing to be in the Ultimate fighter, I was the first ever UK fighter to travel to the try outs and got two submissions to be selected. Every time I lose is not enjoyable but its never more than a learning experience, I snapped two ligaments fighting in Las Vegas and that was a bad loss to swallow

Why did you choose X-Pyr?
I am a huge fan of adventure racing and have followed X-Pyr and X-Alps since starting the sport, I have adventure in my soul and X-Pyr is a true expression of that in a format that allows me to also fly across some amazing terrain and walk through some beautiful areas. whats not to love

Have you participated on X-Pyr before?

Have you flown in the Pyrenees before?
Yes once, I am hoping to fly there before the race

What will your strategy be during the race?
Keep moving forward, Weather will be my limitation, not physical or mental.

What excites you most about X-Pyr?
The freedom that is experienced in such an amazing adventure race, Self reliance and being alone with my own decidions and thoughts..

What scares you the most about the event?
Being left to make my own decisions and being with my thoughts lol

Why will he make a good assistant?
Kevin is an adventurous pilot who shares my passion for adventure, he is willing to listen and help but at the same time, tell me if im being a fool and make changes.

Anything else you like to comment?
Thank you to everyone involved in the event.
