INTERVIEW

What is your greatest sporting success?
World Cup Champion 2014

When and why did you start paragliding?
I started flying when I was 13, in 2005. My father was flying, and I wanted to fly too.

What is your mountaineering experience?
I live surrounded by mountains in Annecy. Lot of Hike and fly, and trail running. I start trail running comps this year

What does your typical training week consist of?
5 to 7 days a week trainings. Trail running and hike and fly whenever I can, bike, and a lot of cross country skiing when we have snow. I try to do different sports to avoid injuries. And cross country flying everytime I can.

What are your best and worst sporting memories?
Winning the PWC Superfinal because it was one of my goal, winning the World Cup in St André because it is one of my favorite place. And also winning the Airtour 2016 together with Jérémie because it was a true team spirit and a battle until the end.

Why did you choose X-Pyr?
Because Hike and Fly comps are now my first motivation and X-Pyr is one of the most beautiful one. Moreover I like the Pyrenees a lot. And finally, I want to prepare correctly for the XAlps.

Have you participated on X-Pyr before?
No, never

Have you flown in the Pyrenees before?
Yes, I spent 2 years in Font Romeu, in the East part of Pyrenees, from 16 to 18 in the well known training center. So I know really well the east part, and I flew also around Val Louron, Luchon, etc. Even Baigura ! 😉

What will your strategy be during the race?
My only strategy at the moment is to prepare the best I can and create the best team spirit possible because I think it's the key. And after in the race, let's see how it goes.

What excites you most about X-Pyr?
To live a nice adventure with my partners and friends, to be in nature and take advantage of it, and to be performant in racing with others.

What scares you the most about the event?
Nothing

Why will he/she make a good assistant?
Because he is the calmest man I know, one of the best pilot in the world, a true mountain guy, and my friend for years
