What is your greatest sporting success?
Hard question, similar to ask parents which children is the most loved. I won the X-berg challenge in 2016 and I ended 6th at Xpyr 2016. It was the two toughest experiences in the hike and fly theatre I´ve had. But as Messner said: Every goal lost its taste after I reached it....

When and why did you start paragliding?
I started when I was 6 years old because my older brother and my dad were flying and I wanted to be like them, cool. In teenage years I started competing and I understood I live to fly and fly to live.

What is your mountaineering experience?
I have been climbing the High Tatras almost every Winter for the last years. M5 mostly. My biggest mountaneering experience was the first ascent in Antarctican Wild spur with a paraglider on my back.

What does your typical training week consist of?
If it is flyable, I go XC, if not, I do climbing and running in mountains around my home. I prefer real conditions than training in the gym.

What are your best and worst sporting memories?
The best should be my success in climbing and flying in Antarctica. Climbing somewhere nobody has ever been and flying down like no one else in such a remote place is the best experience I´ve had. Why? Lots of people said, it's impossible, but impossible is just one of the options 🙂
Choosing the worst is very hard, because positive experiences erase the negative ones. One of the very strong memories should be landing on the wrong side of a ridge and the only way up was climbing through almost vertical rocks 200m high, without any rope, alone, with full 15kg paragliding kit on back, the rocks were slippy from a thunderstorm which had just gone and they didn't hold. I was full of adrenaline so I did it without fear, but one wrong step or grab, and I had fallen for hundreds of meters down to mash me up.

Why did you choose X-Pyr?
I love enjoying real challenges and that's definitely the X-pyr! After my first time in 2016 I dreamt about returning to have a hard time again.

Have you participated on X-Pyr before?
Yes. I reached my physical and mental bottom and that can push me further. I enjoyed some flying, lot of walking and plenty of battles with my body and mind. But competing with the best athletes on the planet is addictive and make hard times funny and wanted.

Have you flown in the Pyrenees before?
Yes, only few days before Xpyr 2016.

What will your strategy be during the race?
To be fast and effective. Last time it helped me that I can fly in weather that almost no one else can.

What excites you most about X-Pyr?
It is the best option to meet the best guys on the planet and compete with them, learn and enjoy beatiful and wild areas of the Pyrenees with a friendly group of enthusiastic people, who organize and compete there.

What scares you the most about the event?
Long periods of rainy weather.

Why will he/she make a good assistant?
My supporter Matej has been on a few of big comps with me as second supporter. Lots of knowledge and sense of humour, jokes make hard situations funny and that's why he is good!

Anything else you like to comment?
Thanks for choosing me, I am really happy to be there and fight again with wind and heat and cold and thunderstorms!
