What is your greatest sporting success?
To have all competitions and Adventure survied healthy.

When and why did you start paragliding?
I started in 2005. I saw some Paragliders and was immediately impressed.

What is your mountaineering experience?
I have been working for years as a mountain guide in the Alps in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and Iceland.

What does your typical training week consist of?
In a week I train about 20 hours in the mountains, while running, the altitude basecamp workout, swim and paragliding.

What are your best and worst sporting memories?
the best are to have successfully completed all objectives and fly the worst in a thunderstorm and almost losing control over the glider.

Why did you choose X-Pyr?
I was looking for a new Adventure and do it for my girls I love.

Have you participated on X-Pyr before?
I was selected for 2012. But the race for me was already over before it had started.

Have you flown in the Pyrenees before?
Yes I am already flown in the Pyrenees and in 2012 had trained for the race.

What will your strategy be during the race?
I try o make my own race and reach the Destination safely. Important is the fun and Adventure with the best pilots and friends.

What excites you most about X-Pyr?
the landscape, the adventure, it is a unique competition for me and preparing for the next stage RBX 2017.

What scares you the most about the event?
scare me most is doing nothing. I respectfully before the Task and will complete this as safely and quickly as possible.

Why will he make a good assistant?
Benjamin has been with me the last few years on our adventure. He knows my strengths and weaknesses very well and he is a good motivator.

I am glad to fly the race and looking forward to all the teams, the great landscape and the nice people on the line.
