What is your greatest sporting success?
Spanish championships and spanish league champion 2007
2nd X-Pyr 2012
When and why did you start paragliding?
By pure curiosity, we used to climb mountains and wanted to fly down.
What is your mountaineering experience?
Nothing worth mentioning, the Alps, Pyrenees, Yosemite... they are places where I have been pottering about, but I have never been on an alpine expedition.
What does your typical training week consist of?
I am currently into thriathlons, so a typical week involves swimming, cycling and running. Twice a week each.
What are your best and worst sporting memories?
The worst I try to forget, all of them related to accidents not worth remembering. The best are not sports results, but experiences shared with other pilots during a flight, or after it when we get together to tell a few lies..
Why did you choose X-Pyr?
I took part in the first edition and it was fascinating. I couldn't do the second one because of an injury and this year it looks like the stars have aligned so I can do it again.
Have you participated on X-Pyr before?
Yes, in 2012. It was the first edition and the first event of this kind in Spain and became a big adventure for all who took part.
Have you flown in the Pyrenees before?
I live in Navarra, the Pyrenees are relatively close and I have participated in many competitions in its best known areas.
What will your strategy be during the race?
If it beeps I turn, and if it doesn't I carry on.
What excites you most about X-Pyr?
Living one of a kind adventure alongside some of the most unique places in the world.
What scares you the most about the event?
Security. Every adventure has its risks and even if we try to minimize them, there are things we can't control.
Why will he make a good assistant?
Great sportsman, great person, and I was really looking forward to share an adventure of this kind with him.
