What is your greatest sporting success?
To win the X-Pyr 2012 and to have been selected for the X-Alps 2013.

When and why did you start paragliding?
In 1991,because flying was my dream and I carry on dreaming.

What is your mountaineering experience?
Pyrenees, Alps, Kilimanjaro, mountains around Elorrio…

What does your typical training week consist of?
I do mountain running 1-2 h. a day whenever I can. I fly whenever weather conditions and my schedule allow me to.

What are your best and worst sporting memories?
The best ones are my two Pyreneean crossings, from coast to coast.I can’t remember the worst ones, I most likely forget them after a big flight.

Why does the X-Pyr interest you?
Because it brings together everything I love: flying, mountains, adventure, nature, personal development and freedom.

Have you flown in the Pyrenees before?
Yes, in some of the North league tasks, flying across them on my own and then in the X-Pyr…

What will your strategy be during the race?
To walk and fly as much as possible, trying to forget about what the other competitors are doing and enjoying it to the maximum.

What excites you most about X-Pyr?
The landscape, both on land and in the air.

What scares you the most about the event?
The extreme conditions that can be experienced.

Why will he make a good assistant?
Because he is a lifetime friend, as well as my workmate. He knows what the X-Pyr is, and I know he will not let me down and will give everything he’s got to help me. I hope to be worthy of him.

Anything else you like to comment?
I hope everythings turns out as well as it did in the previous edition, and everybody could be lucky enough to reach the Mediterranean sea.
