What is your greatest sporting success?
There are two moments in my life related to the sport I remember with special affection. The first one was my first flight, since I was a child I dreamt about flying, and being able to accomplish this dream marked a milestone. It was in Vilanova de Meià in 1993
The second one was my first climb to the Naranjo de Bulnes, with a vivouac half way up the wall.

When and why did you start paragliding?
I started in 1993 because it was when I started working so I could pay for my lifelong dream.

What is your mountaineering experience?
I have been getting away to the mountains since I was 15. My school were the hills of Montserrat.

What does your typical training week consist of?
Gym 3 days a week, 2 days flat walking and 1 day in the mountain.

What are your best and worst sporting memories?
One of my best sporting memories was the first day I flew over 100km. But luckily I have many good memories
My worst memory is, without a doubt, the day we were caught by an electric storm in the middle of a climb at the Midi d’Ossau

Why does the X-Pyr interest you?
Because it mixes my two great passions, mountain and flying, and because it is my dream.

Have you flown in the Pyrenees before?

What will your strategy be during the race?
To adapt myself as much as possible to the Meteo conditions, whatever they may be.

What excites you most about X-Pyr?
Being able to be amongst people of such level. That excites me. It is the recurring thought I’ve had since I was told I could take part in this comp. When I work, when I train, when I dream…

What scares you the most about the event?
To get injured during the training

Why will he make a good assistant?
I am lucky I didn’t have to choose, I thought about who was the best assistant I could have, I asked him and he said yes.

Anything else you like to comment?
I want it to start now.
